Georgia to Create Unified Database of Foreigners and Expand Grounds for Expulsion. Amendments to Take Effect on July 1

The Parliament of Georgia passed amendments in the first reading that tighten migration legislation. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the initiator of the bill package, the amendments will grant the department's Migration Department powers to conduct operational-investigative measures to suppress illegal migration.
