Akhmat fighters robbed several houses in a border village in the Belgorod region. Military police and authorities did nothing - 'Pepel'

On April 9, several cars with Chechen servicemen and "Akhmat" inscriptions instead of license plates arrived in the village of Novaya Tavolzhanka, Shebekinsky district. The soldiers began to break into houses and take out valuables. Local residents were told to "shut up" - and were threatened with weapons. This was reported by the publication "Pepel" citing sources. Residents complained to the military police - "but [the Chechens] also cursed them out" and they "could do nothing": "They appealed to [the head of the administration of Novaya Tavolzhanka, Sergey] Parika - he just shrugs his shoulders. Local channels are silent. How are we supposed to live? Drones, shelling. There have been cases of theft and looting before, but not in broad daylight," residents of Tavolzhanka told the publication. When one of the villagers took out his phone to record the crimes on camera, he was hit with the butt of an assault rifle. The fact of looting was also confirmed to "Pepel" by several residents of Novaya Tavolzhanka who do not live there but heard about what happened from those who remained in the village.
