Gardener from Perm Krai loses plot of land due to weeds

On April 14, a court in the Perm Krai ruled to confiscate a 9-hectare agricultural land plot due to it being overgrown with weeds. This was reported by the press service of Rosselkhoznadzor. They stated that at the end of March 2025, authorities conducted an inspection of the owner. It was discovered that the agricultural plot had not been used for its intended purpose for over three years and had become overgrown with weeds and trees. The owner was asked to put the plot in order but ignored the demands, for which he was fined twice. As a result, Rosselkhoznadzor went to court to seize the land for state ownership and achieved a positive decision. As noted by the media, this is not the only such case. The law on confiscation of abandoned land plots was first applied in the Omsk region in March. By court decision, 13 garden plots were transferred to municipal ownership.
