Former Prince Andrew Arrested in Jeffrey Epstein Case

British police have arrested the brother of the King of Great Britain, former Prince Andrew, on suspicion of misconduct in public office, as reported by the BBC and The Telegraph. Police confirmed the arrest of a man 'around 60 years old' from Norfolk, whose name was not disclosed in accordance with national guidelines. The suspect is currently in custody, and searches are being conducted at his addresses. Assistant Chief Constable Oliver Wright stated, 'Following a thorough assessment, we have launched an investigation into allegations of abuse by a person holding public office. It is important that we remain objective and impartial during the investigation. We understand the significant public interest in this case and will provide updates in due course.' The arrest reportedly occurred on Andrew's birthday, as the former prince turned 66 today. According to the BBC and The Telegraph, police arrived at Sandringham Palace in Norfolk, where the suspect resides, this morning. The Telegraph reports that police are investigating accusations against Andrew that emerged in documents related to the Jeffrey Epstein case, specifically claims that the King's brother shared confidential information with the financier while serving as the UK's trade envoy. Last October, amid the Epstein scandal, Charles III stripped Andrew of all titles, honors, and awards. He is now known as Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor. The former prince has consistently denied any wrongdoing. On January 30, the US Department of Justice released a new batch of documents related to the investigation into financier Jeffrey Epstein, who was accused of child grooming and died in prison. The files mention Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, Elon Musk, Bill Gates, Prince Andrew, and other influential figures.
